Vision

Working for a free and fair election, FEFA envisions developing a well / known, educative, democratic, credible and non- partisan domestic monitoring organization that should have a committed, well informed, and active presence all over Afghanistan.

Further more FEFA should ensure free and fair elections in Afghanistan where:

    • An electorate must be free to make a choice and should be adequately informed about electoral contestants and procedures as well as believe that people’s choice will be accurately recorded and respected;

    • Willing contestants enjoy right to association, expression, movement or assembly; have a leveled–playing field ; agree on the legal framework of the election; have confidence on the election administration as impartial and effective body; fair and equitable coverage of the contestants by the media (including the government media);

    • Contesting organizations endeavor to select good, qualified, and competent candidates and continually are improving the quality of candidacy for elections;

     • The citizen organizations must be free to help educate citizens and be able to monitor all aspects of the electoral process;

    • An independent, impartial, and competent Electoral Commission that will implement election laws and actively and continually pursue improvements in the electoral process;

     • An impartial and fair judiciary that effectively and swiftly resolves elections cases; and

     • The democracy is institutionalized.
