The Youth Political Rights Advocacy Group Held a Meeting in April 3, 2016

Agenda: Recitation of Holy Quran, review of previous meeting, discussion on quarterly and brief information on focus groups

Preface:
The Youth Political Rights Advocacy Group (YPRAG) held a meeting on April 3, 2016 at FEFA HQ to discuss the following issues:
1- Holding of focus groups in government and non-government universities;
2- Holding of advocacy meetings for Youth Awareness Report;
3- Quarterly of Youth Political Rights Advocacy Group;


At the beginning of the meeting the facilitator of Youth Political Rights Advocacy Group (YPRAG) presented brief information on group to new members. Subsequently, the participants of meeting exchanged views on holding of focus groups in government and non-government universities, importance of provincial council elections, the objective of provincial council election, encouraging of youth to take part in election as candidate and voters and increasing. Then, the group took the following decisions:
- Planning for holding of focus groups, preparing a guideline on focus groups, finalizing the questions of focus groups and selecting the participants of focus groups;
- Sharing the questions of focus groups with members of YPRAG and holding a pilot focus group;
- Holding of two pilot focus groups in non-government universities;
- Holding of focus groups in 2 government and 8 non-government universities;
- Participation of 2 lecturers and 10 university students in each focus groups;
- Preparing a report from findings of these focus groups and lobby for the recommendations of this report;
Subsequently, the participants of meeting discussed holding of advocacy meetings for recommendations of report of Youth Awareness and decided to hold advocacy meeting with Ministry of Haj & Islamic Affairs, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation & Development, the Youth Deputy and Independent Election Commission.

Similarly, participants of meeting discussed on contents of YPRAG quarterly and decided to add the following issue in YPRAG quarterly:
- Introduction of YPRAG;
- Biography of all members of YPRAG;
- Information on performance and activities of YPRAG
- Publication of articles of members of YPRAG;
Conclusion
- At the end of the meeting the facilitator of group urged members of group to help in achieving group’s programs. Similarly, the facilitator of group delegated the following tasks to members of group:
- Harron: Must create email-address for all members of group;
- Freshta: Must set a meeting with Ministry of Higher Education;
- All members of Group: Must send their biographies to facilitator of group;
- All members of group: Must prepare questions of focus groups;
